Pack your water bottles - it's supposed to be 104 degrees today!
The housing inventory in the Las Vegas Valley is drying up these days. The average price per square foot "sold" in Summerlin is $120 psf. It's time for the Banks to release more of the rumored 30,000 homes, eh?
Good morning!
I'm in Southern California with my kids on our annual Summer Vacation and have been checking out the local real estate market in Santa Monica. Like Las Vegas, there are many bank-owned and short-sale properties available at attractive prices. Southern California has a distinctly higher price point - I see very clearly why Las Vegas is such an attractive option for investment properties for those living in California.
Check out June's Cybertips - interesting free sites that help you save time. Some are fun, too, for fellow "tech-heads" . . . .
In the last three weeks, this market has gone more crazy than it was before. There have been multiple offers for the last eighteen months, yet now, so many of the offers are cash and over list price by 20%, even on properties listed under $100,000.
Crazy! Get ready to roll, because this market is moving fast.
Good morning!
Last night, while my son was searching for a "docking" station similar to the one that came with my new Dell computer, he discovered a free download at www.ObjectDock.com.
In the developer's words: "ObjectDock acts both as a task manager and a program launcher. Users can customize the look of each item on the dock and set various animation options for when the mouse rolls over an item on the dock. The program is very easy to configure".
It is SO cool! I immediately replaced the Dell/Vista dock with the new one from Object Dock. The part I really like is that you can cruise over the icons and they magnify as you hover over them, quite similar to Mac's docking bar.
Check it out. No reason to pay for the upgraded $19.95 version - try out the freeware first to see if you like it.
We stayed up way too late playing with it.
